The Barup has been developed over many years, trailed and perfected by our own fitters, manufactured in Australia using our own fabrication facility in Newcastle.
It is not just a device to help lift a bar onto a vehicle, the bar is supported in a cradle and has a pivoting action to allow the bar to be laid on its back so other work can be efficiently carried out.
The supplied hydraulic lifting table also acts as a bench for all the tools and parts required and can be raised and lowed to a convenient height to suit the fitter.
Allows one person to fit a bar so they don’t have to interrupt other workers, two other staff helping lift the bar onto vehicle can easily turn into 5 or 10min lost time x 2 , potentially 40 to 80 hrs a year per fitter!
A small shop with one fitter and one sales staff can now have just the one guy do the job without the salesman leaving the showroom unattended.
If the bar don’t quite fit you don’t have guys standing there holding the bar till it gets sorted.
Less chance of damage to the bar as guys roll it over to perform different tasks.
The bar can be pre-assembled with winch etc. before the vehicle arrives, great if you get ahead the day before a job and looking for work for the guys.
The tilting action helps when fitting a winch, buffers etc. and it’s a one man job, no more stopping other guys just to move or roll the bar over.
Has a couple of adjustments to help align the bar during fitting.
We have designed it for a regular style bull bar with a top hoop.
Generally speeds the whole process up for better efficiencies.
It also looks very professional and impressive when customers see it being used rather than a couple of guys trying not to damage the guards with the bull bar wings.
With lifting and bad backs a major cause of time off work due to injury this is a great tool to minimise the risk of staff injuring themselves.
We have designed it for 150KGs (tested to a 1.5 safety factor).
The unit comes complete with the lifting table, all parts are zinc plated and powder coated.
Your workshop may get by without this tool, but if you fit bull bars just about every other day once you have had one the guys will never want to go back to the old days.
Some fitters who say they don’t need it, but they also don’t mind asking other staff to help them lift a bar, which ultimately cost money every time they interrupt somebody else doing their job.
If you also sell bars to smaller shops with one fitter they can now fit bars much easier if they have one in their workshop.
